Just a moment with Shawn

I
f these past few years have not taught us anything else, it sure has reminded us that whether we are black or white; old or young; rich or poor; educated or non-educated; single or married; we have all ended up in the same place.
Here came Covid 19 and irrespective of our status, it paid absolutely no attention to that. The rich died, and so did the poor. The rich man with all of his money couldn’t buy all the medicine in the world to save his life, and the poor man who had no money, couldn’t buy the medicine to save his life either. And that made them equal. Also, as we consider our brothers and sisters in Ukraine – fleeing their country.
The rich left with nothing, and the poor left with nothing. Once again, they were both equal. One’s status was of non-importance. What are we? And who are we?
Maybe we need to take this time to reflect on the lives we live and the contribution we do or do not make. Let us pause to consider the difference we can make in the lives of others, and how we plan to live our lives going forward.
At the end of the day, we have to ensure that we do have a relationship with God and that He is the Lord of our lives. That is all that will matter. Not our skin color, not our financial well-being, not our race, not our educational or marital status.
Whatever you do, give God your heart, and let Him take your hand. Then, make your dash count!
